Hello Blizzards!

Wow! Until we started finding each other on the internet, I'd forgotten how much I loved being a Blizzard. Then, I began to realize how important it was to the making of who I am today. Such a rich community in so many ways. Friendship of the truest/deepest kind; respect; teachers that truly cared about each of us; opportunities to follow our dreams and use our talents; being a part of something that gives so much back.

Our school days weren't filled with fear of the guns in the windshields of pick-up trucks - we knew they were for hunting "critters" not kids. We feared extra laps in the bleachers; Mrs. Bauer's study hall; being late for band practice or missing an important game.

Our days weren't filled with long lists of what we weren't allowed to do. It was ok to share a kiss in the hallway with your boyfriend/girlfriend & hold hands while he walked you to class. We had to be careful on the hip-huggers and mini-skirts, but we didn't dare wear our pj's to school. What boy didn't have a pocket knife (used mainly to clean his fingernails or carve a desk). Heck, Mrs. Bredeymeyer even taught some of us a secret language - still know some of that shorthand.

As we begin to plan for our 2010 reunion of Classes 71-75, we eagerly anticipate seeing friends we've not seen since graduation. Please, do your best to be there. The dates are being confirmed as soon as the football schedule is set and we really want everyone possible to join us.

We'll have a wall of "In Memory Of" for those who have passed. We'll have buttons with your high school picture on it; good food; lots of memories; and hopefully a keepsake book you can order with names, pictures, and addresses.

Tell everyone you know to check out this page and send us their new information so we can get the list started. Also find us on Facebook "Winters Blizzards".

Look forward to seeing you there!
